Operator Safety Training / Re-Qualification Training / In-House Instructor Training

We offer three distinct options for Lift Truck Training and Certification:

1) Operator Safety Training
2) Re-Qualification Training
3) In-House Instructor Training

1) Operator Safety Training
The Operator Safety Training program is designed to meet the needs of the counterbalanced, sit-down, rider type lift truck operators. The course teaches the importance of proper forklift safety and handling techniques. Some of the things the program focuses on are:

A) Principals of stability, balance and capacity
B) General lift truck fundamentals
C) Inspection prior to Operation
D) Safety
E) Load Handling Techniques.

Structure of the Operator Safety Training Course:
The course will include both classroom training and hands on operation. The classroom training will cover the theory of forklift operation, as well as safety issues. At the end of the course you will be expected to complete a quiz on all aspects of the operation of the equipment as well as the regulations relating to the safe operation of the equipment.

You will also be required to operate a forklift and clearly demonstrate an aptitude to perform the following tasks:

1. Forklift Inspection Procedures.
2. Site Inspection Procedures.
3. Safe Operation of the Lift Truck

Length of Forklift Safety Training Course:
The duration of the course is dependent on the operators previous experience. For experienced operators, the course will take approx. 8 hours to complete. For novice operators, the course will take 16 hours.

This forklift safety training program is designed to ensure that operator knowledge and practical skills continue to meet current safety standards and regulations. The program is ideal for all operators as it is designed to reinforce the importance of proper handling techniques.

3) In-House Instructor Training
The In-House Instructor Training Program gives a student the ability to teach an effective program by training them to present all the necessary materials in a classroom format. The program will also allow the student to be able to evaluate the skills of another prospective forklift operator.

Once the forklift safety training program has been completed, the instructor will be able to train your employees in the following areas:

1. Principals of forklift stability, balance and capacity
2. Pre-operation inspection of the lift truck
3. Safety guidelines during operation
4. Charging and changing industrial batteries on electric powered forklifts
5. Proper Load handling procedures
6. Fueling of IC Lift trucks
